Rosina expresses her fascination with science (fiction and fact!), modern architecture and colour through her contemporary jewellery. Her work involves sourcing functional materials and components, usually found within the architectural and music industries, and taking them out of their usual environment to create unique and versatile jewellery. She combines sterling silver with coloured butyrate plastics (derived from wood pulp and cotton), hand dyed nylon harp strings and anodised aluminium.

Anodising is the process by which an electrical current is passed through the metal in a bath of sulphuric acid. This increases the thickness of the natural oxide layer on the surface of the aluminium, which makes the metal susceptible to heated coloured dye. The metal is then steamed to seal the pores in the oxide and fix the colour permanently. Rosina does these processes herself, so that all the surfaces of each piece can be coloured and bold modern forms produced.
