Marisa Arna's vases and tableware are beautifully minimal in the most delicate glazes. She says "the mugs are lovely to drink out of and I love the detail on the jugs. There's no need to cover up the design with unnecessary pattern, the smallest amount of decoration is enough ...function comes first". This can be seen in the clever minimal design of the pinch jugs. Marisa's work is all thrown porcelain, it is fired at a high enough temperature to make it translucent and also tough enough to be used every day at the table.
